Minneapolis Mayoral Candidates Speak

Our final political event for the election cycle will feature Minneapolis mayoral candidates Jacob Frey (incumbent), Kate Knuth, Laverne Turner, Marcus Harcus, Troy Benjegerdes, Mark Globus, Jerrell Perry, Paul Johnson, Bob Carney Jr., Nate Atkins, Christopher David, Clint Connor, and Mike Winter.

The candidates will discuss the three amendments to be voted upon in Minneapolis, along with other relevant topics of their choosing.

Notes: Zoom meeting starts at 6 to allow attendees to get set up before speeches at 6:30. There will be no structured activities from 6-6:30 for virtual attendees.
Any questions for candidates by virtual attendees may not be answered due to time constraints. Audio will not be allowed by virtual attendees; questions for candidates must be entered into the chat.

Event Schedule:
6:00 PM – Meet and Greet
6:30 PM to 10:30 PM – Candidate Speeches and Q&A Sessions (10 minutes per session, sessions include individual Q&A, questions limited to 30 seconds each, 90 seconds per reply, 2 questions per candidate)
10:30 PM to 11:00 PM – Final Remarks, Event Adjournment, Extended Personal Conversations.

Sociable Cider Werks will be open until 11 PM.

We are asking in-person attendees to show proof of COVID Vaccination or a negative COVID test taken 24 hours before the event. We are strongly encouraging mask use when appropriate. Please do not attend this event in-person if you or anyone that you have had recent contact with are exhibiting signs or symptoms of COVID (e.x. elevated body temperature, coughing).

Invitations will be sent out daily, as the list of recommended attendees, also grows with the list of candidates, and sponsorships.
